Cut

The cut of a diamond determines its brilliance.  Put simply, the better the cut, the more sparkle it will have.

Colour

A diamond’s colour grade refers to the lack of colour.  The more colourless the diamond the higher quality grade it will receive.

Clarity

Virtually all diamonds have some imperfection and they are graded accordingly.  Diamonds with few or no imperfections receive the highest clarity grades.

Carat

This is the term with which most people are familiar and is the measure of a diamond’s weight.

Also of great importance and a matter of personal preference is the shape of a diamond which is usually viewed from the top.  There are various shapes (round, radiant, princess, etc) and the firm has stocks of all these.
